So day we have seen the last of the Undertaker and that his in-ring career is over - what would be a fitting send off for him?

Surely he won't just fade away into obscurity will he?

Hall of fame for sure

WWE should have done everything they could to have Sting signed up for a year's part-time
run with his first match a defeat to Undertaker at WrestleMania x after which Taker retired.

All the true greats' careers should end at Mania, I generally like the unwritten rule where a wrestler goes out doing the honours, but Taker at WM would have been as good an exception as any. It would have been epic on the WWE's biggest event ever.

A defeat for Sting after an awesome match wouldn't have harmed him and he could have gone on a winning run towards WM31 where he could have done the job to Bray Wyatt and retired himself.

If it was down to me, I'd have done all I could to book it exactly like that.

For me sting is alongside punk for my all time favourite wrestler, and in my opinion is as big a legend as taker neither deserves to end in defeat I think they need a match together before they retire but maybe have it end in an ultimate show of respect where they've both given it everything taker countering the scorpion death lock into the tombstone, then both men laying in the middle of the ring but refusing to end the others career get up and raise the others arm in victory together.

I think we may get one more match out of Taker. He could come out about to say he is retiring when Sting comes out and says one last dance, give the fans what they want. Then win loose or draw Taker retires after the match at WM31. I think the fact that the streak is broken makes this match more likely as it would add a certain amount of jeapardy, after all if the streak was intact we would all know Sting would loose. Then Sting could have 3 or 4 more match before retiring himself at WM32.

It is a question of if the Taker would be fit enough. His recovery times got longer and longer. I personally would hate to see him in a match where he would only be a shadow of his majestic past.
Something has to be done to let him ride into the sunset with his pride still intact. I suggest he appears as a counterpoint to Kane as an anti-authority figure (which he always has been) and a final 'Battle of the Brothers' at wrestlemania, or if he is still not fit, re-unite the Brothers of Destruction, let Kane help Taker get through a final 'mania.

But what about his actual leaving? I'm visioning something like the rumble ending with Yokozuna - a farewell speech ending with "now I can - Rest. In. Peace"

{Ed007's Note - I loved that when it happened, Mick.}

If i'm honest I'd like to see the Taker win again at WM31, he shouldn't go out with back to back defeats.

Sting is in no better shape to have a full time run than the Dead Man, I'd like to see Sting debut as part of the Authority storyline, have him beat HHH, so he can get up some steam then have him lose to Taker at Mania.

Then an epic laser, lightning, casket themed showpiece resulting in the Undertaker vanishing for good.

Put him in the HOF somewhere down the line.

The thing is as much as I would love Kane to tag with taker he just isn't as prestigious as before and I believe this would devalue takers legacy

Marty Jannetty's career highlight ed surely? Lol

{Ed007's Note - Well there isn't too much of competition really is there? :)

If Kane and Taker are going to tour the Brothers of Destruction one last time it shouldn't be at Mania, no reason they couldn't do it in the middle of his final year though.
