Just a little info for Night of Champions, apparently the WWE havee ordered a shed load of T-Shirts with John Cena US Champion on them.
What a surprise.

That's a bit of a tedious link isn't it?

I have no problem with Cena holding the US title, nobody can doubt the title has meant more since Wrestlemania than it has since WCW was open.

Though WWE orders a ton of Cena merch isn't exactly a headline, I sometimes wonder if part of the reality era is the WWE releasing info like that to get tongues wagging.

I don't think it is possible for one person to hold more than one title and make each one relevant so I am fine with Cena getting the US title back. He did a good job of defending it every week and, if he is to hold any title, I would prefer it to be the US one. I still have hopes that the IC title has a resurgence at some point.

I would have no issues with Rollins dropping both belts at NOC to be honest. Not that I do not rate him just think it would be a more interesting storyline for him to be screwed over in both matches by the Authority setting up a run against HHH.

Wonder what the odds of Cena and Seamus leaving NOC as champions is?

I would quite like to see Sting get a little run as Champ between now and Christmas, its a pretty non spectacular period to give an old dog a cherry on his ice cream.

Its kind of predictable that the title only changes once or twice a year.

If you take out MITB cash ins how many times has the top title changed hands during an advertised contest in the last 2 or 3 years. Its not many.

I don't know why but I feel that if Cena Wins the U.S. title he will hold it until the night Sami Zayn Returns.

It's definitely possible to have someone hold two titles and keep them both relevant and strong. Just look at the Jay Lethal ROH storyline that WWE lazily stole from.

If Sheamus walked out of NoC as WWE champ, The next night, I would expect the first WWE title win on RAW in a long time. With low ratings and competition from Monday Night Football, Sheamus as champ is one of the worst thing they could do.

If you exclude the stupid Daniel Bryan "controversially" beating Orton, leading to the title being vacated and then Orton winning the title back after HBK hitting Sweet Chin Music on DB. The title has changed 8 times since CM Punk won it at Survivor Series 2011. 2 of those were from MitB cash-ins. There have only been 12 different WWE champs this decade. That includes Mysterio's 2+ hour reign.

So 6 legitimate title changes, I'm guessing at least half of those involved some sort of nonsense ending.

I doesn't make stars look weak if they straight up lose a great match, as long as you don't then make the other guy lose the next week.

Cesaro could wrestle Seth for 30 minutes and win the title on Raw next week, and he could hold it until the Royal Rumble, where he drops it in another great match. Seth won't look weak, Cesaro will be cemented as a main event player, we will have all been stunned.

It would also open up title match claims for guys like Owens, who have recently beat Cesaro.
