So Shane replaces Baron Corbyn on Team SD?

I hope there is some clever story work woven in to this, involving things bigger than Survivors Series.

What possible benefit is there to adding Shane to the match over a guy learning his way I the midcard?

Assuming the injury is a work, even then it totally gives the finger to dozen or so guys.

What does it y for Kane, Apollo, The Miz, or even an old dog like Swagger that the middle aged business man that's only had one match in ten years and lost is considered a better representative?

Could not agree more Bessex. Why not give Crews a chance to boost his career? Why not have a monster like Kane or Harper on Team Blue?
Instead we have got someone who is not a wrestler but can jump off high things.
I really, really hope they don't have Shane being the first one to knock Strowman off his feet. If they do I may stop watching WWE for the foreseeable future.
Smackdown has sold itself as a new beginning. They have made a decent start, but this will knock them off course completely.

Shane has been brought into Team Smackdown for one reason, he will somehow finish up being in the ring with Lesnar. Maybe Lesnar comes out and f5's him again to give Raw the win or perhaps the opposite and Shane costs Lesnar his match as revenge for SummerSlam. Either way they will be in the same ring at the same time in order to advance us towards the inevitable Lesnar V Shane match.

or it could be that shane substitutes himself out last minute for undertaker (yes wishful thinking at it's best! )

I'm torn because with Shane being in it, there's a chance that they put a lot more effort into the match, and it becomes something more reminiscent of the Attitude Era. At the same time, It's got every element for it to end up being almost as bad as the 15' Rumble match.

I get the sense that they'll have Lesnar vs Goldberg 3 at Mania, so they're either going to forget about Shane vs Lesnar or save it for SummerSlam.

A SvS match would be the perfect way to get Taker in a match before his possible retirement match at WM.

It's starting to really look like SD will end up with the CW division, so as long as that happens, I'll be happy.

Shane vs Lesnar seems even more ridiculous than Goldberg.

I mean who wants to see Lesnar beat up guys that other people beat up.

I think anything with Shane and Lesnar should end up with Shane hand picking some one to finally take Lesnar down, but I try to never underestimate a McMahon's ego.

Jables, it is impossible to underestimate a McMahon ego.

IMO it only makes sense if he is used to elevate an up'n'comer. Maybe we will see Shane in trouble and Corbin makes the save leading into a Shane back Corbin Vs Stephanie back Stroman angle.

But I guess he is there just to build on a very ridiculous Lesner Feud.
