Got to say after watching Jericho vs Omega. Jericho is undoubtedly one of the greatest of all time. His heel work throughout the match was phenomenal. Easily in the top 5 best ever for me.

Jericho is having some incredible years, I think he has been a true freak, a cruiserweight, that got a proper education on the indys, worked in Japan, Mexico, ECW, WCW, and WWE, and kept himself fit, or in many ways in better shape than his "prime years".

Nobody else has survived from that period with his body of work, maybe HHH, but I doubt the games ability to put on a match of the level we've seen from Jericho consistently in the last 18 months.

Jericho has been able to knit all this in with his music, so that he has earned a fortune and finds himself in a situation of being able to do what he likes.

There is probably more to come. Y2J now has young rivals in the two biggest companies in the world, so who knows where his next match will be?

I won't be surprised to see him at Mania.

A point I missed is that he came up in the era where the WWE didn't bury you for being a cruiserweight. I'd expect to see more guys last longer as time goes on, because a 6 foot 230lb guy doesn't wear his joints like those 6'7 320lb beasts that were the standard in the 80's and 90's.

I think top stars are factoring a part time contract in before they accept retirement these days.

Kane, Taker, Show, HHH, Cena, Shane, all sound like they are going to have more matches.

Batista, Bryan, Goldberg, Lesnar, Rob Van Dam, maybe even Rey may still have "legends runs"

I do enjoy watching Jericho and he is definitely an all time great. But he would not make my top 5. Top work against Omega though.
I know it is all subjective and mine will probably not be agreed by anyone, some of them never actually won the big prize, but for pure enjoyment my 5 are:
5. Ricky Steamboat, 4. Edge, 3. Shawn Michaels, 2. Taker and 1, the much missed and never replaced Rick Rude.

Great shout on Rick Rude there Coys, always been a fan of his. Anyone who can carry Warrior to two good matches has to be an all time great.
My top 5 which does change depending on mood is currently this.
5-Taker. 4-Jericho. 3-Ric Flair. 2-Macho Man. 1-Bret Hart.

My top 5 can change like the wind, some days I like big events over worked matches, then others I am all about star power and promo.

How do you compare Kane to Ric Flair?

My top ten could easily be turned on its head and still be decent. lolz.
