was thinking to myself that a great ending to mania would be the
styles/ nakamura match

but after reigns winning last night basically confirmed what we all knew anyway
reigns wins the chamber match, beats lesnar in the main event and gets booed out the arena
BORING!

I wonder if they'll throw a surprise in there, or will go ahead with the plan that everybody called 18 months ago.

I remember people saying Goldberg would beat Owens for the title, then Lesnar gets it back at Mania, and defends it for a year before Roman becomes the conquering hero at WM34.

You'd think with the word out for so long that that's how it will go something will have to change, but maybe not.

Truth is anything that involves the Undertaker or The Rock would probably go on last.

I also think if its built right then one of the Women's title match could go on last.

Ronda vs Flair or Banks vs Aska could be pushed to the top of Mania, let's be fair, the girls haven't let anybody down in a long time. They've closed out NXT Takeovers, RAW, Smackdown, and the Royal Rumble, as the WWE push the women its only natural that they'll eventually have the top match at the top show.

It would certainly be better in either case that Roman turning over Brock to close the show.

In terms of match quality and crowd reaction AJ v Nakamura should go on last. This will never happen, it will either be Cena v Taker or Lesnar v Regins on last.

The WWE need to accept that even if you put 100,000 people in a stadium for WM a huge portion of them (especially in the floor seats) are nutty wrestling fans, and nutty wrestling fans want the best wrestlers getting their due at Mania.

After 5 hours the Main event has a lot of pressure on it, lots of people will have had their fill, so they do need it to be something that can lift the crowd.

In Roman's defence I have seen a crowd gradually turn his way when he is putting on a good show. Its not beyond the realms that if Brock beats him bad enough for 20 minutes the masses will get behind his come back.

The closer will be Reigns/ Lesnar. Reigns is a strange wrestler. Incredibly popular in the original and the revamped Shield, but showered with scorn on his own.
Remember when McIntyre was billed as Vince's chosen one? Reigns patently is and the teflon cloak that Cena wore for so long was passed to Reigns a couple of years ago.
It is a shame as his in ring and mic skills have improved drastically and he has put on some decent matches.
The question is about Strowman. Putting him in yet another match with Kane would be lazy and I am sure they won't just let him win the Andre battle royal. I suspect he might get involved in the Reigns/ Lesnar match allowing Lesnar to lose and still look strong.

Roman still generates a lot of noise, exactly like Cena, cheers and boos, but that's much better from an atmosphere point of view than the way the audience sit on their hands for half the show.

Someone the wrestling fans love like Sami just doesn't get a reaction like Roman does.

Boo or cheer, just care.
