It's always nice to be surprised and what a joy it was to watch the gauntlet match on RAW.
No long speeches in the ring, no confrontation as each participant says what he will do, clean eliminations and close to 2 hours of intriguing wrestling.
That Strowman won was not a surprise, probably a consolation for when Reigns wins the chamber, but Rollins looked brilliant, Miz his weasely best and Elias got one over a big name again.
I really hope that the WWE takes note that different isn't bad and that they needn't follow the same tired formula all the time.

Both RAW and Smackdown will now represented at Backlash and rumour has it there will be a draft at the same PPV to reshuffle the brands.
Who needs a transfer to freshen themselves up?
I mentioned Rollins in an earlier post and I still think he would do better on Smackdown.
I would also break up the New Day and send Big E to RAW.
Corbin seems more suited to RAW, even though they built him up nicely on Smackdown last night.
Who do you think needs a move?

There is so much to happen before we get to a post Mania draft, but on the face of it I think I'd like to see the guys capable of putting on a five star match pooled in Smackdown, and the Superstars/ entertainers pushed on Raw.

Rollins, Balor, and The Miz to Smackdown

Rusev, Corbin, and Jinder to Raw

Promote Gargano and Chiampa to SD, and the Authors of Pain to Raw.

I am too big a fan of the New Day to see them broken up, I'd rather see them recruit a new member and push on as a top top faction.

I have stated a few times that I see Big E as a potential World Champion, if they cut back the jokes and just focus on how strong he is it seems believable he could take out anyone.

Xavier has all the makings of a workhorse US champ, he could put on longer midcard matches every week.

Then the right tag team partner could keep Kofi working for another few years.

The best factions always get to at least have a little run where all the members hold gold, I see the New Day as being able to do that.

The only question is who would join, and there is a massive argument for it not to be a black guy, just to cut back on the idea that the New Day is a black faction, as opposed to a faction where the members happen to be black.

Does Zack Ryder fulfil the criteria of being a fun loving brightly coloured established superstar?

I could see him tagging with Kofi as part of a mega face faction.

Then eventually one of them gets greedy and turns making them an even bigger star again.

Rollins and Balor to Smackdown, maybe Asuka or Alexa Bliss to Smackdown as the Raw womens roster is stacked and Smackdown only realky has 3 established female stars (Charlotte, Becky, Naomi)

New Day to Raw and Club to Smackdown to join Balor. Promote Authors of Pain to Raw.

I wouldn't change much else.

What are they going to do with Seth Rollins?
Ambrose has had his surgery, but is expected to be out for another 6 months. Jordan is now out for a while so that potential feud is on hold. Reigns filled the gap on RAW but is destined for greater things.
Rollins is far too talented for him to be left in limbo and is far better as a singles competitor anyway.
Can't see him being added to the match to gain the last place in the Chamber match, so what are his options?
A feud with the Miz for the IC title is an option and could be entertaining, as would a feud with Balor. The latter is unlikely as The Club are being built up and have momentum at the moment.
I would love to see him up against Cesaro, but the Bar won't be broken up yet.
So I suspect it will be Miz, but I think he would be best transferred
to Smackdown. Great potential matches and could be exactly what he needs and what Styles will need once the Owens/ Zayn thing has played out.

He had a good night.

I am not sure if he has what it takes to be the man on Raw.

The Raw champion needs that look, I can only see Brock, Roman, Cena, and Braun holding the Universal title in the next 12 months, they won't hand it over to the little guys yet.

Which could make for an awesome IC title scene with Miz, Seth, and Fin going to war for it.

I see Elias as a long term Raw top guy, he has that look they love.

Any or all of them could be the top guy on Smackdown, sadly SD is still treated as a second tier show, so their champions can be workers rather than Superstars.

I don't think AJ would be treated with any more respect on Raw than Rollins or Finn get.

Well, a petty average PPV with a couple of rubbish matches (Divas was awful and Barrett/Neville was pointless) and some good ones.
I am liking the New Day more and more and Kidd & Cesaro are talented enough to be able to sell the match. New Day are the best heels in the tag team division for a long time. Be interesting to see how they cope at the Elimination Chamber in a cage and no outside interference.
I enjoyed the Sheamus/Ziggler match but this feud has now run it's course. Both will be in the Chamber for the IC belt which Sheamus will win. Heel champ for the IC while Cena holds the US.
Speaking of Cena, another good match with Rusev, but I wish the ref didn't have to stick the mike in to ask if either quit so many times as it interrupted the flow of the match. Of course we will find out Lana translated incorrectly leading to another match that the feud doesn't deserve.
The 4 way was ok and Rollins finishing with the pedigree was genius. What next for each participant? Ambrose, Reigns and Orton have all had protracted feuds with Rollins and need a change. And we are still waiting for the inevitable Kane blow up. I reckon it will be Rollins/Kane at the Chamber.
Rating for Payback? 3.5 out of 5.

The closer will be Reigns/ Lesnar. Reigns is a strange wrestler. Incredibly popular in the original and the revamped Shield, but showered with scorn on his own.
Remember when McIntyre was billed as Vince's chosen one? Reigns patently is and the teflon cloak that Cena wore for so long was passed to Reigns a couple of years ago.
It is a shame as his in ring and mic skills have improved drastically and he has put on some decent matches.
The question is about Strowman. Putting him in yet another match with Kane would be lazy and I am sure they won't just let him win the Andre battle royal. I suspect he might get involved in the Reigns/ Lesnar match allowing Lesnar to lose and still look strong.

If by any chance they do persuade Neville to return I cannot see him being happy with being stuck on 205L.
There is no doubt that there is talent in the cruisers, but there is no charisma which is the only reason Amore won the title
An absolute failure.

Would the Undertaker come back after all this time just to lose to Cena?
The only way I can see this happening is if he has a guarantee to get his revenge at Summerslam and then finally riding into the sunset.
I cannot see Mania without at least one McMahon being involved, but I suspect we will get 2.
They have just released a Shane DVD so I assume he is going nowhere and the Bryan/ KO/ Zayn story has to end some time.
I still believe there will be a confrontation of some sort between Steph and Rousey.
It is a shame that these story lines will dominate, but it is Mania and they will have to fill a million hours.

Rumour has it that we will have Reigns/ Lesnar, Cena/ Undertaker and even The Rock and Rousey/ HHH and Steph. So yes, I imagine Styles/ Nakamura may well get overshadowed.
