Took my 2 boys aged 4 (huge wrestling fan) and 7 to Newcastle for Raw live last night. Both had a fantastic night. Last time I went to a live event here was around 7 year ago and the improvement was huge- even just the big screen over the stage was class for the entrances.
Started off with Triple H on the screen explaining how WWE need the fans etc, finished with an 'are you ready'.
1st match, Dean Ambrose v Luke Harper, solid match 10-15 min, Ambrose winning.
Ruses and Lana appear on the big screen calling out Cena.
2nd match, Zack Ryder v Bo Dallas. Pointless short match, not much to talk about. Ryder won.
3rd match, Lucha Dragons v The Ascension. Good little match, Kalista & Sin. Cara surprisingly good. Luchas got the win.
4th match, Stardust v Goldust. Not bad, Stardust got the win.
5th match, Rusev v Cena. Lana attacks Newcastle & England, calling us weaker than the US.Huge pop for Cena. Really good match with all the big moves. Cenawon after an attitude adjustment. Ruses appeared annoyed with Lana.
A good mention for Connor and bracelets for sale for £5 to go to his foundation.
Interval 15min.
Back out & Seth Rollins on the big screen trash talking Orton.
6th match, Bella's v Paige & Naomi. Good match. Paige made Nikki tap.
7th match, Ryback v Kane, fun again. Ray back winning with Shellshocked.
Main event, Rollins v Orton. Excellent match with plenty of spots. Orton double DDT on JJ security. Rollins kicked out of RKO, Orton missing with a punt kick, Orton kicked out of curb stomp. JJ security ran in when Orton setting Rollins up so DQ finish. Really good night. Boys wanted Cena caps and T shirt, shirts £25, caps £20. Programme £20. Expensive but great night and worth every penny to see my 4yr olds excitement. Sorry for long post.

1.) Sounds as though you had a good night Mike H, reckon looking at those matches you may have a better card to ours at notts tomorrow, but I am buzzing to watch.neville and balor live

2.) Was a good night Call. Expected to spend a lot so no disappointment there. I'm sure it will be a good night with Bryan & Wyatt etc. Have a good one bud.

3.) Love that you enjoyed it.

FYI Zack Ryder winning a match is like finding a four leaf clover, treasure it.

4.) Sounds like a spoiler for the brum one tomorrow, cheers lol

As a huge Undertaker fan ( I remember his debut) and a big fan of Bray Wyatt, I'm trying to think of an outcome that could benefit both. What if Sting v Triple H happens earlier on. Bray wyatt and taker have a great match. What if taker is beaten but bray doesn't want to get the pin. Sting comes out and takes wyatt out. Taker rises and they stand face to face in the ring. Either a shake of hands by two legends and the only time the two are in the ring or taker is peeved for Sting getting involved, Setting up a match for a later date. All the while Wyatt can be seen laughing all the way up the ramp. WWE need to keep Wyatt strong after Wrestlemania.

MikeH

1.) I sat and watched the Undertaker's last 6 Wrestlemania matches last night.

HB x 2, HHH x 2, Punk, and Brock. I don't think anybody gets hurt by smashing up the Undertaker for 20 minutes before he takes them down.

I personally want an Undertaker win with Bray coming close, and then a ridiculous set piece stunt that sees the Taker off telly again.

I'm thinking of the classic put him in a casket and set it on fire or something similar.

2.) What about the reforming of the family for the set piece stunt at the end, headed by sister Abigail? harper is brilliant but feel rowan could do with being back under brays wing once more!

3.) I don't think that would benefit anyone in the long run.

Rowan doesn't do anything for me and is destined to drift along as a jobber to the stars.

Harper is on his way to being a top heel, putting him back in a team will just hold him back.

Bray is a standout, if he was put in to a feud with the Champion after Mania it would work fine. All he needs is a prolonged winning streak.

I want Bray to do something to the Takers beaten body that will make people remember him.

4.) I don't see a problem of Taker winning at Mania if Bray then does something to bury him after the match has finished.

Would tie in well with the keeping him of screen until the next mania run in as well.

They need to make sure both are kept looking strong though - for two different reasons

5.) During or after the match, the lights go out and a woman starts singing 'He's got the whole world in his hands.' A spotlight on the stage reveals Michelle McCool in the rocking chair holding the urn. While she is still singing, "ghoulish" arms begin to grab at her and the chair starting to pull her and the chair into the "abyss." After she is no longer visible, she starts to scream and a huge flame shoots from underneath the stage. The arena goes black again before the lights come back on, revealing a melted urn fused to the now burned rocking chair, and McCool nowhere to be found.

Haven't posted for a while but always reading.
My favourite PPV event has always been the rumble. But, last night was dreadful. Bryan didn't have to win. But, if he was one of the final four it would of made a huge difference.
I actually wanted Bray Wyatt to win, something completely different. But the way Bryan did go out, and Ziggler who had such momentum before the Rumble, was unbelievably poor. Big Show & Kane, who never had a chance of winning being there towards the end, confirmed to everyone that Reigns was going to win. If it was Wyatt on the outside instead of Rusev, that could of took some of the heat off Reigns. Now Vincent is saying there is no way of adding Bran to the Wrestlemania main event as it would be a repeat of last year, it looks poor this year.
Reigns v Lesnar. Cena v Rusev. Wyatt v Bryan (if not Taker). Goldust v Stardust. Miz v Mizdow. Sting & Orton v Rollins & Triple H. fatal 4 way diva championship, Paige v Natalya v the Bellas. Tag team, Usos v acsencion v cesaro & Kidd.
That's how I see Wrestlemania panning out at the min.

{Ed008's Note - Welcome back!

1.) I propose a Dean Ambrose vs. Dolph Ziggler ladder match for the IC title at Wrestlemania. Either or, wins the title at Fast Lane, defends on RAW, insert storyline. Give them 20-25 minutes so they can have a real chance to steal the show.

2.) I follow Ziggler on twitter and he kind of challenged bryan to match wm31 if that happens whether dolph is a heel or bryan is a heel that could be match of the year if given 20-25 minutes

3.) I reckon rollins will cash in the mitb and add himself to the main event at wrestlemania, reigns, lesnar and rollins triple threat. Cena v Rusev, sting v triple h, wyatt v taker, bryan v ziggler and orton + partner v show and kane, my predictions

4.) Wrestlemania doesn't have to have every match be the despicable heel vs the hero face. You can have two guys that just want to showcase their talent and put on a great match.

5.) Slight flaw to your plan Jables, neither Ziggler nor Ambrose currently holds the IC title, I'm afraid I've got some bad news.

6.) Just read your 2nd sentence Jables. Oops. I've got some bad news for myself.

I can see the WWE biding their time with Rusev. I can see him not being pinned or submit until Wrestlemania and I can see two things happening.
1) Kurt Angle comes back and takes him on and makes him tap to the ankle lock or.
2) Undertaker comes back as the American badass for his last match and retire to the ovation he deserves.

MikeH

1.) 30 Oct 2014 13:13:18
I could see Kurt coming back to do it but not the Taker, as much as I hate to admit it Taker is getting well past it.

But you are right Taker deserves his final Wrestlemania moment and I hope he gets it.

Regarding Lesnar v Cena, this is what I can see/ would like to see:
Lesnar basically batters Cena for a good 20 mins with Cena getting a few moves in but Lesnar totally in control. Cena hits his usual tosh out of nowhere but Lesnar kicks out. Lesnar again gets the upper hand but just can't pin Cena as he keeps kicking out. Frustrated, he absolutely ruins Cena, and ends up getting disqualified with Cena left lying In the ring after chair shots etc after the match. Lesnar walks back and outcomes Rollins to cash in. As the bell rings to start Ambrose runs out, barging into Lesnar on the way to stop Rollins. Heyman & Lesnar look at each other and Heyman nods. Lesnar turns round and goes back to the ring and buries Ambrose with Rollins pinning Cena. Just my thoughts.
(Note, apologies for earlier post being in reply to a del rio comment).

MikeH

1.) That would be a perfectly acceptable ending to Summerslam.

Though I feel like Rollins winning the title now would be handing it to him too early.

I'd rather see him have a 30 minute match legit than just become another guy that fluked the title against a past out champ.

I don't think the guys that win it in that way have had spectacular reigns. Edge was the first to do it, and it was awesome, but now they just need to ease off.

Have a few faces win it, and challenge the champ to a match that suites them in a town that suites them.

Not shifty Ed. just got sick of paying their prices to watch tv. Been doing this for years. Plus, all PPV events etc free. On tv. Not a website etc.
Couldn't do without my sports.
Ans sports entertainment!
On another note. Just purchased my tickets for WWE live at Newcastle in April. Can't wait. Been twice before. Taking my 8 & 4 yr old sons. In the stands as the 1st time I went, I got floor seats. Everyone was stood up throughout and you could see nothing.

That's was it mickrude. Cheers. Think that was when he was flair's right hand man, and was it razor Ramon & flair v Macho man and a partner, he said he needed the perfect partner. Great times, great story's and tons of talent and characters. Story's back then went quite a distance before an actual big match up at a ppv. Everything is so rushed now.
