Love to here people's thoughts on here about hhh. Great wrestler one of the best ever imo. But his burying of legends like jericho and angle and others and the racist attack on booker t and the sligh remarks to angle about getting beat by bookers wife make him a little lower in my eyes. Would he be as good if he didn't marry step. I highly doubt it

I think he is very good and in the past I have underrated him. However there is no doubt whatsoever that his marrying of a Mcmahon helped him be a bigger star than he ever would have been. Jim Cornette put it nicely when he said "he was the guy who worked with the guy who drew the money". He also got there through circumstance with injuries but if you look at his time in WWE he was only ever the top guy for a short period of time, due to injuries and people leaving.

He's definitely a great in ring performer in his own right and IMO is up there in the top 10 or 20 of all time. However, I think marrying Steph and being a politician backstage have definitely helped his career somewhat (although I'd say it helped him more in his post in ring career than it did in his actually in ring career, and I'd also add that him and Steph do seem to genuinely love each other)

I agree with Bear on HHH. You have to respect his longevity, but he has won far more than his talent has deserved, the McMahon connection has certainly helped.
The Max Landis brilliant 'Wrestling Isn't Real' sums HHH up perfectly. Never really on the same level as the very best but somehow the title kept coming back to him.
HHH was always at his best when he was in a team, be it DX, The Authority and especially with Evolution.
His career was built on how he looked more than his in ring talent.
I don't dislike him, but he is just not as good as his record shows him to be.

I view him as great for longevity and a few heel turns. Other than that he would not have been in my list of top ten. The kliq helped him hugely he would have proberly been relesed had it not been for them. Best thing he ever Done was put over benoit. He ruined goldberg.

One of my big favourites, as a character over 20+ years he has been awesome, and truth be told he may only be an 8/ 10 in the ring, but all things in I think he has to be considered right up there.

His relationship with Vince is probably as if not more important as his relationship with Steph.

He is the Son Vince wished he had (no offence, Shane)

Proven time and again that you can hand him the top spot and he will deliver a solid product.

I think HHH's relationship with Steph allowed him to keep the title longer during several reigns, but it didn't help the amount of reigns. He became a main eventer before he started dating Steph and half of his title reigns happened before they were married.

He'll likely have at least 3 more WM matches and some others in between, so his legacy as a wrestler isn't completely done yet. As a wrestler I think his work as a whole has been a positive to the business, but he could really solidify greatness with what he does the next few years.
