I promise you I am not just saying this to be controversial, but I just cannot get excited about Sami Zayn.
I don't like the look (stupid beard, stupid hat), I don't like his entrance music, he does not stand out with his mic skills and promoting himself as doing something for the greater good makes me cringe.
He is not bad in the ring, but nothing that should make him stand out from any number of others.
I really hope Owens flattens him.

I personally prefer Owens but I enjoy Zayns work. I think he is in the top 10 workers in the wwe maybe top 5.

I also Prefer Owens but there's not much Sami Can't do in the ring. Rewatch his matches With Neville in NXT and it's hard not to like him.

Sami is a slow burner, I think eventually his body of work will leave people loving him.

He has the babyface fire, and watching Owens beat him up actually makes you want to see him win.

The NXT work was unbelievable. I'm hoping they can recreate it for the main roster.

I completely agree I can't understand what people like about him.

Through most of Sami's time within WWE, he reminded me of a bland version of Steamboat. Being a central part of Smackdown with Ambrose, Jericho, and Owens over the last few months has changed that for me though. I can now see him being closer to a Sting or Bret Hart type down the line. He's not going to be the most entertaining person, but as a whole he should be able to hold his own and be a legit champ.

He still needs to get rid of the old man starter kit wardrobe though. Being on the same show as Ambrose would really help too.

I like his gear, I'll grant you most current day wrestling fans probably don't feel the ska/ punk scene, he's perhaps a little too hipster.

It all adds up to building him as an underdog, who's never say die heart makes him a likeable face.

He is one of the few babyfaces I root for because he isn't smiley happy guy all the time, he gets angry and aggressive when its time.

I think he has the style of HBK when he won his first wolrd title, he isn't as cool, but taking a beating and firing up, selling injuries, is vintage work.

I like both Sami and Owens, but I prefer Owens (Owens, Rollins, AJ and Lesnar are my favourites)

Samuel needs to toughen up a bit. I know he's the underdog and an everyman but he just let's people destroy him on the mic and just stands there. He needs to toughen up and get a bit of a sharper tongue. A few weeks ago Dell Rio proper snagged him to his face and he just stood there like a gimp. He needs to cut that out.
