Banks is the new Women's Champ, Balor is the number 1 contender for the 'Intergalactic Super-Duper Bigger than the one on Smackdown (honest)' Title. Both are HHH wrestlers and both in the past have been dissed by Vince as either too small or too injury prone.
With the brand now split and with Vince 70 years old, does it really mean a change or will Vince and his a big wrestler is a better wrestler mentality resurface? Personally I think by the next Mania we will not have seen anything remarkably different from the last one.

Apparently Vince was the one who booked balor to be no1 contender. So looks like he is changing for how long who knows.

I don't think we'll have to worry about Superman pushes for awhile. We'll still have some WWE farm fed big guys pop up here and there and get Strowman like pushes. The focus is likely to stay more on indy talent and/ or people with good characters though.

Wrestlemania itself is a different story. How they book that is probably going to remain largely dependant on who they can get, what they're willing to do, and injuries.

When they started the "New Era" after Mania, it was very half hearted. By the end of May they kept getting hit with things that I think made them actually start a new era. Reigns failed to out draw Ambrose even with the deck stacked in his favor, and then he failed the drug test. The amount of time Cena will be off to Hollywood, keeps getting bigger, he also won't be doing the vast majority of live events. The stuff with Lesnar could linger on for years.

Its always about integration, taking the guys from NXT or the indies and making them look good in a WWE ring without making it at the expense of established stars.

Balor was always going to be a big deal, but if RR hadn't been suspended I don't think RR would have been the guy to put him over.

AJ Styles has been successfully brought in to the top tier of WWE.

Its looking bright, like they've figured out denying the existence of stars before they arrived is daft.

Makes you wonder what would have happened if John Moxley, Bryan Danielson, and Tyler Black would have come in with the right amount of fanfare.
