Vince McMahon is supposedly "freaking out" over the low ratings. To go along with it, there are also rumors of a "big shakeup" being planned.

The supposed first effort to help ratings, was announced yesterday. On October 19th, RAW will feature Stone Cold, Ric Flair, HBK, Lesnar, and the Undertaker.

Besides being the Hell in a Cell 'go home' episode of RAW, where Lesnar and Undertaker would be expected anyway. RAW will be in Dallas close to where Stone Cold lives. He is also already set to interview Lesnar after RAW, for a Network special episode of his podcast. HBK, who also lives near by, and Flair will be apart of WWE's tour of Mexico that wraps up the day before. So the WWE isn't even slightly going out of their way to bring any of them in.

On a semi-related note John Cena will defend the U.S. title against Seth Rollins in a cage match at the Network Special: WWE Live from Madison Square Garden.

And Smackdown is going to return to it's old format in January when it moves onto the USA Network channel

I suspect Vince is going to fall back on his old formula in an attempt to get ratings back up. I expect RAW & Smackdown to separate completely for a while with the WWE title on one and the heavyweight on the other. US on one, IC on the other.
This will let him eventually not only have the 'trade off' show once a year but also build up to Team Smackdown v Team Raw at a PPV.
Maybe RAW can then have an edgier feel to it and Smackdown can appeal to the kiddies like it used to and let the Divas perform on a show where they would fit.

If Vince isn't going to step down, they should re-split the brands after Wrestlemania. He runs one show and HHH runs the other. Do each show live for 2 or 3 hours and let the best man win.

Works for me Jables, just so long as HHH has RAW.

I like that idea and I reckon HHH's show would win regardless of whether he had Smackdown or RAW. VKM has been out of touch for years now.

I would also prefer HHH had RAW as well.

As long as Smackdown stays on thursday, it would be a fair fight in terms of ratings competition. With things anywhere close to even, HHH would destroy Vince in the ratings. Sadly, I think that might be what it takes to get the old man to step aside.

I would also really love to watch that draft. I imagine it would start something like-
Vince: Cena
HHH: Rollins
Vince: Lesnar
HHH: Orton
Vince: Reigns
HHH: Ambrose
Vince: Strowman
HHH: Bray Wyatt
Vince: Ryback
HHH: Rusev

WWE already has a brand split? NXT is the other brand.
